In accordance with this new project each customer, while getting any of VISA cards gets extra and free one from MasterCard. Meanwhile, in the course of this project, all customers of the bank, who have any card from VISA are able to get free Master Card any time.

The project will last till 31.09.2010.

Within the near future we plan a new project in payment card industry, which doesn’t have analogue all over the territory of Republic.

Credit at total amount of 2.421.660 AZN have been issued by “RoyalBank” OJSC as an authorized credit organization of State Agency for Agricultural Credits and it had a positive influence on development of agriculture in Ganja, Gazakh, Tovuz, Lerik and Bilasuvar regions.

The total amount of preferential mortgage loans is 444.200 AZN and the total amount of simple mortgage loans is 4.627.350 AZN.

We are pleased to announce that on 11th June The RoyalBank re-stated issuing mortgage loans to the population.

• Only nationals of the Azerbaijan Republic are eligible;
• Loans must be issued in AZN, with a maximum loan of 50,000 AZN;
• The loan term can be anywhere from 3 to 25 years;
• The interest rate on the loan will be no more than 8%;
• The loan must be secured by real estate. Which value must be determined by an independent  appraiser;
• The loan amount will not exceed 70% of the mortgaged real estate’s market value as of the date the loan is issued;
• The principal and interest on the loan must be repaid monthly in equal installments.  Said installments may not exceed 50% of the aggregate monthly income of the borrower (s);
• The final installment payment must be scheduled to occur before the borrower (s) pension age, as established by legislation;
• The life and work capacity of the borrower, as well as the real estate under the mortgage, must be insured for the loan amount;
• The borrower (s) must pass State registration as specified by legislation.

This new project will assist The RoyalBank in all areas of SME lending, including new SME loan products, leasing, L/Cs, L/Gs, and document collections, in order to create better access to finance for Azerbaijani SMEs.

The MOU was signed between Mr. Zaur Farzaliyev, The RoyalBank CEO, and Mr. Danilo Cruz-DePaula, PSCEP Chief of Party.

This is the second USAID-funded technical assistance project to assist RB to develop sustainable financial intermediation services to SMEs.
